Ten Steps Away

It was bright and sunny,

A pleasant day to walk,

Until I saw this,

I might still be hung over after last night,

But before me, to my right,

A new road,

One that is less taken,

A new word,

One that is less spoken,

A new view, 

One that I never knew,

Yes I can still read the sign,

Yes I am not blind,

But life is a gamble,

Maybe I will stumble,

I am ready to bet all,

A foolish move but bold,

Success is the least,

I am aware of the risk,

But for that I stand,

For what I want,

And to follow my heart,

To trust my own gut,

Like John Keating said,

"Seize the day!"
